In Nevada, the minimum age to serve or sell or mix open alcohol is 21. There is one exception: grocery store cashiers. If a person works as a cashier in a retail or grocery store, they may ring up and sell boxed, sealed, or corked alcohol as young as age 16. A 16-17 year old cashier needs to be supervised by a person age 18+. An 18+ year old cashier does not need to be supervised.
As such, a person who works as a cashier in a retail grocery store may obtain their alcohol awareness card at age 16.
